New Seminar Series launches the Centre for the Comparative Study of Civil War

Dr Anastasia Shesterinina announces a new Processes of Conflict and Peace Seminar Series and the launch of the Centre for the Comparative Study of Civil War established as part of her UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship.

A new seminar series on Processes of Conflict and Peace has been created to generate discussion on a broad range of topics, from the dynamics of civil war, political violence and protracted conflict, to climate change, conservation and environmental activism, and post-war peacebuilding and reconciliation.

At the Department of Politics and International Relations, we have a number of experts who work to better understand these and other questions that are of profound importance for societies marked by conflict using a variety of conceptual, theoretical and methodological approaches. The Processes of Conflict and Peace Series will bring them together to discuss their ongoing and future projects.
