From Books to Bullets: The Spectrum of Political Education in Rebel Groups
Amelie Freiberg is a doctoral researcher in the Department of Political Science at Trinity College Dublin and an incoming postdoctoral researcher at the University of Mannheim. Her research focuses on explaining and predicting socialisation patterns by rebel groups in connection to conflict-related sexual violence. She is currently conducting “Socialisation and Political Education in Rebel Groups” (SOPERG) Data Project, which measures how African rebel groups utilise political education to facilitate socialisation among their members.
